Abstract

The present study aims to identify those features that make Wiki an appropriate, relevant, and suitable tool for producing
scientific reports by undergraduates, based on engineering students’ experiences regarding to the use of such a technology, through the “Virtual Engineering Classroom” platform. Research participants are students enrolled in a Physical Mechanics course, Department of Physics at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Carabobo - Venezuela. It is a qualitative study, framed under a descriptive and interpretive case study. Results show students’ preference regarding to the use of other electronic resources to prepare a scientific reports, compared to the use of Wikis in the drafting process of them.
