Virtual Environments. Learning Strategies. Professors of the School of Industrial RelationsAbstract
This study aims to demonstrate virtual environments as a new learning strategy to relate the university teacher with his/her students of the School of Industrial Relations. It is an applied, descriptive and field-work research. Subjects were 82 teachers chosen according to their academic level achieved by an university professor. The instruments applied for data collection were: bibliographical techniques and a structured survey of scalar type and dichotomist responses, together with Cronbach Alpha and Kuder-Richardson coefficients for its reliability. Results show that teachers have a highly favorable attitude towards the use of virtual environments as new learning strategies. Moodle was the virtual environment recommended. It was concluded that the application of virtual environments agrees with traditional learning theories, so that traditional education becomes a blended model. Likewise, ERI professors are to redefine their role, participate in feasible projects and become active agents of change. Finally, the application of virtual environments may allow expanding the quota demands that guarantee the individual’s social inclusion in the educational system.
