REVENCYT Evaluation
The Journal informs its academic community, authors, reviewers, and readers that it participated in the Evaluation and Certification process of the Venezuelan Index of Science and Technology Journals (REVENCYT), coordinated by the Academic Vice-Rector’s Office of the University of Los Andes, the University Library Services (SERBIULA), and the ULA Digital Library.
Since its creation in 1990, REVENCYT has established itself as a national benchmark in the evaluation of editorial quality for scientific, technological, and academic journals in Venezuela. The current methodology, applied since 2015, includes rigorous standards related to editorial management, visibility, periodicity, peer review, and scientific best practices.
The evaluation process for the 2023 period was conducted between October 2024 and 2025, considering a full year of editorial production and assessing 313 indexed journals.
Within this framework, the Journal received the technical report with the corresponding observations based on the established criteria, as well as the Ranking and Certification certificate (when applicable).
The Journal reaffirms its commitment to:
-
Editorial quality
-
Strengthening peer-review processes
-
Transparency and publication ethics
-
Continuous improvement aligned with national and international standards
