Abstract

This article states the alternative evaluation or process-based evaluation as a complex pedagogical action, rich in a variety of means and techniques strengthened by the integration of thetechnology in education, to provide professors, according to their mastery and creativity, a conscious and innovative application in the learning evaluation context, as a continuous and integral process. Some of the problems derived from its application are also described. It is concluded that there are no types of evaluation that are better than others, and also, that their effectiveness and quality depend on multiple aspects that makes them complex.
