During last semesters, it has been implementing new tools and strategies aim to motivate students to keep on studying Engineering since there have been observed high levels of desertion in all subjects of this Faculty, such as “Computation I”, which has been chosen as the object of study of the present research, located in the fourth semester of the career. The aim of the study was to evaluate the students’ general perception of that subject, as well as the influence of tools and strategies chosen for their education process. A survey was designed to measure the course in all, taking into account four aspects: Perception of the subject, environment of learning, tools of support to the learning and the educational action, to detect specific improvements to be implemented. The survey has been applied for several academic periods. Results show students have valuated the grade of difficulty and motivation of subject “Computation I” as average. Population perceives changes implemented in the educative process as positive which, at the same time, they make the subject more attractive and determinant.
