Nowadays, teacher-training undergraduate students’ curriculum is aimed to the development of their didactic abilities. One
of these skills, the so-called ‘digital competence’, implies their preparation to apply the Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in the field of education. Based on a previous research, carried out in the context of Spanish universities,
the present article defines, analyzes, and justifies teachers’ and other education professionals’ digital competence. Also, it offers a proposal of a training plan to promote such a competence. Finally, it suggests some personal and institutional strategies that can foster teachers’ digital connection.
