In this article, it is approached theoretical principles related to learning theories and its importance for the educational material design in learning virtual contexts. It is emphasized the importance of Information Processing (IP) as a theoretical base for the instructional design, mainly, because it privileges tasks or potential activities that a teacher must apply and develop in a learning situation or event. Such a feature is considered relevant to design, pedagogically, an educational material.
