DIFICULTADES DE LOS DOCENTES EN FORMACIÓN PARA EL USO DE LAS TECNOLOGÍAS DE LA INFORMACIÓN Y LA COMUNICACIÓN (TIC) EN EL PROCESO DE INVESTIGACIÓN EN LA ASIGNATURA TRABAJO ESPECIAL DE GRADO.

The purpose of this descriptive investigation was to determine students’ difficulties related to the use of Information and Communicational Technology (ICT), in the learning process of the Final Dissertation Paper, as the last subject of the Mathematics and Physics Department, at the FaCE - UC. It was chosen a field design. Two questionnaires were applied for gathering data. These instruments were previously validated to determine the type of students’ technological skills and attitudes towards the use of ICT. Results showed students got a moderate punctuation of 2.54 scores, out of four, which means they are competent. It was also found a moderate attitude for the use of ICT, which means students tend to refuse long distance education, but valuate e-mails communication. Further studies were recommended to determine whether or not these difficulties can be generalized to other groups; and also, to provide comprehensive solutions to overcome such problems
