Abstract

It has been observed that an important number of students usually fail Financial Mathematics due to the higher rate of absenteeism. Students are unable to attend classes regularly, mainly, for economical reasons; so that the purpose of the present research is to design educative software, as a meaningful learning strategy, to improve the student´s academic performance in such a subject.

The population of this non experimental investigation was formed by 450 students; and the sample by 30% of it. A survey and a closed questionnaire of 22 items were the instruments to gather data; they were validated by using the Cronbach Coefficient. It was determined that a high percentage of students agreed that the software will be an essential tool to improve their academic performance.
