Analysis of the social networks for the participation of the students of the University of Carabobo

Social networks are changing the stereotypes of citizens in the globalizing society. Therefore, the objective of the work is to analyze the use of social networks for the participation of the students of the Basic FaCES Cycle of the University of Carabobo. The work was framed in a field investigation, through an online survey, with a non-probabilistic method by quota, and
Likert scale. The results of the study indicate: that social networks are fundamental in the communication and participation of students, and are changing the behavior of young people, encouraging commitment to the institution and to face university problems.
