Four experiences in four countries of the use of ITC in education conditioned by COVID-19 pandemic

Since Information and Communication Technology (ICT) first appeared and was developed, it became essential for modern society in various aspects of people’s life. In this particular time, marked by the presence of a pandemic, ICTs have prevented a total crash in education and economy, helped to bring people closer under physical distancing measures and eased moving on in the new emerging reality of the sudden and fastgrowing spread of a lethal virus. This paper describes four educational
experiences of using ICT in four countries of South America: Venezuela, Uruguay, Chile and Colombia, exposing strengths and weaknesses.
