INTEGRAL FORMATION PROGRAM FOR PROFESSORS AT CENTRAL UNIVERSITY OF VENEZUELA: ALETHEIA

Consistent with the UCV mission and the policies of the Vice Chancellor’s office, which supports the professors’ integral formation and encourages the training of future professors, SADPRO-UCV launched the Integral Formation Program for instructor professors at the UCV: ALETHEIA. This special program, designed for ingoing teachers at the UCV, aims to improve their academic performance, to reinforce their research activities and to strengthen their sense of belonging and their commitment to the institution. ALETHEIA is a yearly online program yet it offers face to face sessions tutored by specialists. It consists of 270 hours divided in four didactic units: (a) University Culture and Management (b) Teacher Training (c) Research and (d) Actualization, all of them produced by different training modules. So far, 78 Instructors have been trained and, at the present time, we are working out 180 professors.
